Introspection zine is related to how gardens are often attributed with being spaces for introspection and expression. I have explored how to communicate reflective thoughts on late-diagnosed neurodiversity through typography, ornament and imagery. 

Simplicity is used to emphasise words, whilst ornament resembles organic tendrils branching from the headings chaotically, to highlight the non-linear, human process of introspection. For the Imagery, I looked to Cindy Sherman and her interrogation of identity through self-portraiture. I didn’t choose casual childhood imagery. Instead, I decided to use perfectly framed and curated versions of the baby with nature. I did this to emphasise masking neurodiverse traits and fabricating an identity, with nature representing the urge to break free from the mask and express oneself naturally.  The use of ornament in the titles and in words such as ‘performing’ is intended to resemble nature and burn out through energetic whiplashes.
